MaRS Discovery District is launching a NEW one-day workshop to help leaders in the education sector guide their institutions into the innovation economy.
These workshops include hands-on activities, team tasks and large-group discussions, and are open to all educators (faculty, administrators, board members) in K-12 and post-secondary education.
The education sector is experiencing the effects as technological innovation drives unprecedented change in how people learn, teach and work. Educators need to enhance their skills to thrive and lead their institutions effectively during this complex time. In addition to the discipline-specific and technical skills expected of them, educators must be leaders who adapt quickly and innovate. This workshop will introduce you to the concepts, mindsets and strategies you need to stay ahead of the disruption curve.
Our goal is to ensure that you leave the workshop with the capacity to:
• Identify the internal and external systemic influences that affect your institution
• Explore areas for improvement and determine those that can be implemented
• Incorporate diversity, inclusion and belonging into your everyday work
• Address complex problems through innovation and creative thinking
